I’m preparing a gigantic post full of votery. Just in case timezones decide to be rude, I’ll edit this in an hour or two's time. Events today were not as kind to my plans as I would have liked, unfortunately.
Who am I kidding, I can’t do this in time...I’m terribly sorry to any entry which would have received a better placing with my vote. Evidently I’m bad enough at time management that I can’t even play games right. I’ll still edit that previous post with my thoughts, but unfortunately today won’t be the day that I do.
Alright, voting period is over!!
DT is calculating the votes as we speak. The contest results will be posted very soon! Thanks for your participation everyone.
But yeah, overall this was a very successful modcon; We got to see the best of the CSTSF this year (and possible the worst?) And as I stated earlier I was happy to participate in this contest; You've all successfully dragged me into the death spiral of modding again. And I can't wait to see what next year's contest will bring. (maybe more uses of NICE? New ways the game engine is tampered with? Or maybe some straight up good platforming and gameplay.
I will be messaging those who placed top 5 via PM/Discord DM when the time comes, but I actually wanted to sort something out regarding the votes first. So if any of you could talk in the mod making Discord chat with me later today that would be great.
Alright, so there's been some debate regarding the votes. The very condensed version is that the final vote submitted made DT skeptical. After some back-and-forth between him and myself, DT deemed the vote too "meme-y" and thought that it did not consider the creativity/uniqueness/effort the modders put into their mod. Therefore, his rankings did not include that vote. I eventually brought the discussion to the modding Discord to see if I should rectify the situation. In the end, over 6 people (including myself) unanimously thought that it was unfair to exclude a vote for those reasons, with the primary rationale being that the rules stated you only needed to rank by personal preference, and because why bother holding a vote system if some votes aren't "good enough?"
...With all that said, I reworked the rankings with the final vote averaged in. These are the true final rankings.

Thanks again to everyone for participating, and I'm sorry that this mod contest sparked more drama/debate than last contest. Despite all of that, I am still very happy with the outcome.
