I'm sick of not being able to play Cave Story on my Game Boy so...

Its not finished but it WILL be. Its just been on hiatus for the past year while I've been working on my own game. Once that's finished I will finish CSDM.
There's some physics tweaks I have to do still and its generally unpolished at the moment but I think you'll appreciate the work that's gone into it thus far.
Every map is remade from the ground up using modified tile sets to fit within the Game Boy's limitations. Some maps are faithful to the original but some had to be significantly adjusted to fit the console restraints... I think the changes are acceptable though!
Music and sound is done by @AquaDoesStuff and the songs sound fantastic so far!... However they don't sound fantastic in-game since they were made in Furnace then converted to Game Boy compatible files in like... 3 minutes as a proof of concept >_>
Otherwise all other work has been done by myself. Everything is done from the ground up so I hope you'll look forward to the final release once it's ready. It's at least a year off, though.
This video shows off an older project file for CSDM that I opted to just remake from the ground up since GB Studio didn't have slope collisions at the time... And every time I update GB Studio it causes massive problems so I just did it from scratch with the same base as this older build, though some map changes were made when I redid the work... And there's no shooting right now.
You can also hear what the music should sound like when properly implemented.
