Just a suggestion, (I don't know if there already is one) but I think this forum would be even better with a chatbox. Then users can socialize, and get to know each other better. Just suggesting.

There's an IRC for that.

We have one.
It's called a forum.

I kid, but you should probably define "chatbox."
Do you mean like a mini chat?
If so, we have an IRC channel.
Go to http://www.esper.net/publicirc.php/ and type in "#curlybrace" to the bar on the page.
A channel operator should give you a voice, I recommend making your username your username here.

You mean like one of those little shout-out boxes on the side of some forums?

Just random messages to brighten your day/spam. There isn't really a chat aspect to it.

Nah. IRC is a different concept. I think it'd be kinda cool to have a chatbox here.

It would have to be something that is actually like, implementable with vBulletin.

I guess I was going to elaborate more but I forget so my answer is no.

I have never seen a vBulletin forum with a chatbox, so I'm not sure if vBulletin supports it.
It would be cool if we could implement one o:

It is possible. The forum in which I was a mod had a chatbox in it.

Why not?

edit: oh, you were referring to the misspelling lol :p

@CF: I think the idea of a chatbox is not so much that it's off topic, but that it's real-time, which the SPOT is not (lololol rhyme). But, as has already been stated, there's an IRC for that.

Am I correct in thinking that a "chatbox" is like that thing on Facebook in the lower right corner of the screen?

You can socialise in the UK (and Australia, I think)!

No, you leave messages on a chatbox that everyone can see and reply to. You know, exactly like a thread. And not all chatboxes update in real time, so one might have to refresh it anyway. Exactly like a thread. The only difference is that a thread doesn't make the forum look incredibly tacky, like it's fucking MySpace or something.

Lol what`s the fuss about the chatbox. Even I - a huge noob - made a fully functional, decently looking forum for [SiN] clan at Alien Arena, where having a chatbox was only an option to set (I didn`t enable it since we had our private clan IRC anyway). The point of the above is that it`s easy (at least at phpBB at forumer it was easy), if you want it - do it, if you don`t want it - forget it.

Personally, I think it would be a lovely idea to put a Chat of some sort in this site, I believe it'd allow others to speak with each other more freely, and much quicker.
