changing the key configuration

Hi

Does anyone know how to change the default keys ?
Since I´ve got a german keyboard the z/x setup really sucks.
I`ve tried changing the drivers to american ones which works when typing stuff
but the game doesnt care about this.
So, could the keys be changed by editing the config.dat ?
A solution or a point in the right direction would be really helpful cos playing for
a while will make my little finger go numb which is probably not good.

 

Dunno if anyone cares anymore, but I found a way to play the game using the y key instead of z in win xp!
Because my english is not that good and because this guide might only interest people using german-layout keyboards (and thus are most likely germans), I'll write this guide in german. Hope thats ok. :eek:


1. Erstmal müsst ihr auf "Start" und dort in die "Systemsteuerung" gehen.

2. Dort wählt ihr die "Regions- und Sprachoptionen" aus (wenn ihr in der "Kategorieansicht" seid, müsst ihr zuerst "Datums-,Zeit-,Sprach- und Regionaleinstellungen" auswählen und könnt dann auf "Regions- und Sprachoptionen" gehen.


3. Wechselt in "Regions- und Sprachoptionen" auf die Registerkarte "Sprachen" und klickt auf "Details".



Es erscheint ein neues Fenster "Textdienste und Eingabesprachen". In der Mitte dieses Fensters befindet sich eine Liste mit verschiedenen Tastaturlayouts. Schaut dort nach, ob es bereits ein Englischlayout gibt.



4. Sollte es dort noch keines geben, klickt auf "Hinzufügen" und wählt anschließend ein englisches Layout aus (am besten "Englisch (USA)") oder "Englisch (Großbritannien)").

5. Habt ihr ein englisches Layout, klickt auf den "Tastatur" Button. Merkt euch in diesem Fenster die Tastenkombination zu der Aktion "Eingabegebitesschema wechseln" (Hier: Linke Alttaste+Umschalttaste). Ändert sie gegebenenfalls nach euren Wünschen.



6. Schließt nun alle Fenster (Übernehmen!) und startet Doukutsu. Im wendet im Spiel dieTastenkombination an und Voíla, die Tastatur ist nun auf englisches Layout gewechselt! Nun kann man das Spiel mit der Y Taste anstatt mit der Z Taste spielen!

7.Wenn ihr Doukutsu beendet, schaltet die Tastatur automatisch wieder auf deutsches Layout. Andersrum gilt das aber nicht, also muss man bei jedem Start von Doukutsu diese Tastenkombination verwenden.
Achja derselbe Trick dürfte bei jedem anderen Spiel auch funktionieren.

Oh well <_< I'am also german and z/x is the best for me :eek:
The config.dat could be never changed that way anyway.
Someone posted here already, so maybe I could figure out it for the future without edit that windows thingies.
But I dont like it cuz its only a metter of familiarization.
Almost I'am going to make a german translation and searching for good beta testers, maybe one of you two is interrested <_<
