Cave Story Wii difficulty levels?

I'm not in possession of a Wii, nor would I ever buy the Wii version, but can someone please explain the difference between the easy, original, and hard levels, or whatever it was? I'm just curious, and wondering is Hard is more difficult than Original.

 

On Hard, you get no helpful items like Heart Tanks or the Turbocharger, so you have 3 HP the whole time. I'm not sure what Easy is like, but perhaps the enemies do less damage and/or have less HP.

 

On hard, you get ONE life capsule, which I think is intentional, because that time someone gives it to you.

 

Also on hard you get no missles or super missles, which kills my chances of getting past the core :s

 

On easy mode, you take half damage, that's all. Plus you look like a construction worker

To be honest, why would I want to play it on hard?! lol

I mean, I'll try it, but fail hard.
