Cave Story Versions

Ok, so a couple years back I played through the original Cave Story a few times and had a blast. I'm looking to do so again but I noticed that there is no longer just the one Cave Story and its ports, there are now multiple versions (Cave Story 3D, Cave Story+, etc)

My question is, what are the differences between the versions? Aside from the obvious platform differences I mean.

 

Cave Story DSi is a straight port with a Hell speedrun option.

Cave Story WiiWare is a port with remixed music, 2x upscaled graphics, and 3 new modes (Boss Rush, Hell Speedrun, Curly Story).

Cave Story 3D is a sorta-remake with newer visuals and music, but no Boss Rush or Curly Story.

Cave Story+ is the WiiWare one but with extra levels and mod support.

Bam.
