Why do you always seem to be against re-releases and possible sequels to CS calling them all for cash and nothing else?Maybe someday we'll finally get to play Cave Story 2: The Search for More Money
IDK, making a port every time a new Nintendo console comes out+ one pc port isn’t that much quantity over quality. The amount of ports they make is the least of their problems.Because Nicalis and their quantity over quality habits.
I believe you're missing the point. Of course it won't matter on how many ports there are, but based on how Nicalis has been marketing Cave Story as if it's the only game that will give them the cash, with literally nothing new to offer other than free cookies, a keychain, or something you could easily make with a $5 value, you're better off getting the PC version of CS+ on Steam, which is far more of a reasonable price than the $60 Switch port. Even then, you're still going to encounter the numerous fuckups by Nicalis (broken achievements, hell run time crashing the .exe file, issues with the Mac port, etc), just because the staff at Nicalis is too lazy to fix a few lines of code.IDK, making a port every time a new Nintendo console comes out+ one pc port isn’t that much quantity over quality. Who needs the ability to walk backwards while shooting when you can just bunny hop away from the enemy and shoot at them while your momentum is still carrying you in the other direction?Walking backwards while shooting, water physics for every object, or multiplayer aren't really as big of a deal as you think it is.

I'm pretty sure the physical version only includes the game. Those were pre-order exclusives iirc.1. The switch port is 30$
2. Multiplayer is a big deal for lots of people.
3. The physical version includes a physical soundtrack, key chain, and instruction booklet.
4. There are a lot more features than just that.
Anyway, if you want an example of Quantity over Quality, CS+NS is a bad one.
most gamestops are still giving out the preorder stuff from what I've heard. apparently not many people are buying CS+ on Switch.I'm pretty sure the physical version only includes the game. Those were pre-order exclusives iirc.
The instruction manual is in all copies of the game if I recall correctly.I'm pretty sure the physical version only includes the game. Those were pre-order exclusives iirc.
Apparently only 75368 people bought the game:most gamestops are still giving out the preorder stuff from what I've heard. apparently not many people are buying CS+ on Switch.
I totally agree. Besides, I'm sure that if Pixel follows his own inspiration and makes the games he wants to make, they will turn out better than anything we could demand him to make.yeah the likelihood of pixel making a prequel is low. not that it wouldn't be cool, but I think part of cave story's charm is in its ambiguity.
There's plenty of those, already. You could even make your own, if you wish!prequel?,i wanna sequel
