Ooooohhh, okay

The Run/Zombie one was pretty neat; I had never noticed before how the last little bit of Run is almost identical to Zombie, and you emphasized that very nicely. I approve

I haven't listened to the other one yet, and I can't right now as I'm recording some other stuff and I have to listen for when each song finishes. In about 10 mins, I'll have a listen and edit this post with some comments.

This is definitely an improvement over the previous version; the timbre's are much nicer and cleaner without sacrificing the techno-ish quality of the piece. The filter changes in the bass are a nice touch, and I don't remember them in the previous version either. The last chord seems to have the dominant (E-flat) rather than the tonic (A-flat) in the bass, which sounds odd...

On a side note, I can't seem to get a plain mp3 for Invartho's Balcony remix, and he never actually "officially" submitted it, so I say we remove it. We already have a shitload of Balcony remixes anyway...

I have all of the remixes so far in a folder on my computer, so the list on page 34 is no longer necessary, so I won't bother putting this in the list format:

I also converted my old remixes to MP3 format and have a new improved recording of the two-piano medley (I wont bother posting it here, as it will be uploaded to the website shortly, along with all the other remixes).

I just realized that today is Dec. 23, and not Dec. 24 as I had originally thought. I was all panicking thinking everything had to be done by the end of the day today


I've been thinking about the albums, and I've come up with a possible grouping into 3 albums:

As you can see, I left placeholders for White and The Way Back Home, which we still need remixes of.

Currently, the songs within each album are in no particular order, but I'll work on trying to come up with a more aesthetic sequence for each album.

Dreams of a Chiller time has only 9 songs, while the other 2 have 13 each, but that's okay, because Dreams of a Chiller Time contains the giant medley.

I also think we should come up with better titles for "Geothermal Remix" and "Balcony Remix".

Thinking of titles, for DaPhino's Geothermal "System Core" and for MasterJace's Balcony "Pinnacle". Also lets' shorten "Balcony Distant Remix" to just "Distant".

Wow, I'm doing techno and JetHawk is doing ambient, what has the world come to??

I enjoyed Pure Darkness, the sfx at the beginning were sweet, though the melody was maybe a bit overpowering...

Actually, there was a remix of Quiet done before in my "Fallen Hero" medley.

All remixes have been uploaded here except the giant medley, which is too big to be uploaded as one file, so I'mma see if I can get andwhy to put it on the tribute site.

If only I got in the mix(lolpun) sooner, but it feels like I've been here forever in time I was remixing.

ah well xD I had plenty of time to do this song (though I know i didn't think of doing it tell it was mentioned >.>) And decided to see if I could get it done in two days. I haven't touched it at all yesterday and today I'm busy in the back yard.

I feel like I should say that I do have The Way Back Home already transcribed with every part on piano, but the tempo and effect and everything would be like it would if it was coming from the game, just with piano instead of the the org-waves. I could try to do something with it, but I couldn't promise anything. It would be with piano and drums like the safety remix if I did though.

 

I can probably throw something together, though it might not be that good...
