Well, hello everyone.
I'm Dark Mario, I know i never did a post (or did , idk)
but i've been learning the way to make cave story mods
for now its something basic, but i believe someday i'll make a good mod

so lets start talk about this one

I will be honest, whenever I make Mario jump, I hear both the jumping sound from the SNES games, and one of the sounds effects from VVVVVV.
Also, you had the perfect opportunity for Jack to make a Mario-related pun on the mushrooms if you talk to him before the first Balrog battle and it didn't happen!

its like jack dont know who is mario, so that didnt happened for that too

@q3hardcore: Well, thats really something that you dont see everyday
but they could put a Super Mario Bros music on it.
oh well, that looks nice after all.

I like the idea, and it looks good, but I have two issues:
• The Mario sprite has black outlines, this would be ok in it's original game(Mario all-stars for the SNES if I'm right), but in Cave
Story, it looks a bit weird compared to the other sprites.
• The title screen music is good, but you do realize it has affected the Plantation music too?
• The Readme file and the manual folder aren't really needed.
Other than that, I like it.

@miccs: well, to be honest , I was going to use something like my Avatar but its too big to replace Quote Grapichs, so I used SMB3 Mario instead, about the black outline, I can remove it, no problem
Also I know that Affects to Plantation's BGM I'm not sure to keep with SMW's Athletic Theme or Put Super Mario Bros Theme Instead
I know the read.me txt and manual folder have no use at all, but whatever \( =w=)/

If you are going to do this, make the skeletons(The jerks throwing with bones) into Hammer bros(the jerks from Mario games who throw hammers, or do those fat variants if needed.).
That would work for me, seeing as I hate them both.

 

well, this isnt actually a "Mario's Story", its just a vision of cave story with mario/luigi as main character

 

You could at least change the backgrounds to be Mario themed.
It would be cooler if everything was Mario themed, the music too.

 

I myself would like it more if the enemies and everything were changed to be Mario Themed. Like the Critters would be Para-Goombas.

Camero: the download link of that cs mario isnt working.... so another reason to work on it ,heh ... and maybe i make it mario themed in future
