Sup. So I'm gonna tell you in the 100% unprofessional way how to get Cave Story on your PSP without modding it. Hoo-rah!
So first, you're gonna need Half Byte Loader installed on your PSP. It's free, it plays files your psp won't usually play, and you get to keep your official firmware and up to date on 6.60. It's tested, don't worry. It's as simple as putting the hbl file in your psp directory and the HBL folder in PSP/Games.

Next, download Cave Story for the PSP. A link is readily available on the downloads section of the tribute site.
After that, turn on that sexy PSP of yours. Go over to to games, and if you installed it right, Half Byte loader should be there and working. Select Half Byte Loader.
In HBL, it will bring up a menu of stuff in your games directory. Go to cavestory, and it should be working.

1, Download HBL from http://wololo.net/hbl/
2, follow the instructions on that site on how to install it.
3, Download Cave Story for PSP by this link. http://www.cavestory.org/downloads_game.php
4, Go and test HBL on your PSP.
5. If everything works, then Cavestory now works on your PSP.

Q. I Keep on trying to play Cave Story in my regular games directory, but it ain't workin! I have HBL installed, but what's up?
A. You need to open up HBL, and select cavestory in the HBL directory, not your regular PSP directory.
Q. Each time I try and load HBL, it crashes!
A. There is a specific file in the download that you're supposed to put in your regular /PSP/ directory. If that isn't it, then try to redownload it.
Q. Sometimes when I open up the game, Quote starts moving in a direction and I can't stop him! D:
A. This happens sometimes, I have no idea why. There's no sure fix to it except constantly restarting the game and trying different button combinations while it's loading to get him to stop.
