Cave Story on Nintendo Switch

Apart from being widescreen and having a physical release. I would buy it for that cover art alone. Is the big font really necessary?

But it would be cool to see totally as long as they have CS3D music, I was never a fan of the wii OST minus a few tracks.

Although I would like to see something new come out of Cave Story another port is fine. I might buy it if it get's a physical release. That's something I want to own.

Guys, I bought a switch, complete with "rest of the world" level price gouging. Forget Zelda, I am waiting for CS to literally reach the shelves.

To be honest I bought the switch solely for its potential as a gaming device. When I said "forget Zelda" I meant that I am one of the few who didn't buy the switch just to play the new zelda game. While I didn't buy the console for Cave Story either, the footage I've seen make it look like the definive version of the game, and the fact that it is going to be a physical release helps matters greatly as well.

 

If they really going to release it physically then I doubt that they sell it for less than $/€20,- .

I'm hoping it's somewhere less than 30, my wallet can't stand much longer after buying the switch on launch day......

Water has been changed to something that makes use of water physics, like dispersion. Exterior surface vignette effect on the cave blocks.

Apparently Nemesis Challenge and the other bonuses were canon all along. No clue if they will change the story to reflect that. Wind Fortress and the Curly Clones get put back into the game then?

- Locked on New Art Style. No more classic art.

Water Physics

Just found out it has a plastic screen, which means the dock tends to scratch it. And also a couple early-release faults.
So, now I'm not really interested anymore.

I still want to get one. I've been playing Breath of the Wild on my Wii U and it's amazing. But it's gonna be impossible to find a new one considering Nintendo's history of console releases (The Wii and NES Classic) and I don't have 400+ dollars on me for a used one and considering the release fiasco the prices may even go up a little for working ones.

Even though plastic screens, especially capacitive ones, have more of a tendency to get scratched, there's enough space in between the dock and the screen that, so long as there aren't any abrasive materials, it shouldn't get scratched from just normally putting the Switch in the dock.

Plus, there are plenty of other design flaws about the system, but I'd argue that's not enough to deter a purchase of it.

 

A bit off topic, but I thought this was cool. Someone synced up a Switch controller to Microsoft Hololens.

I heard that something along the lines of the 3DS version having those black edges around the screen. Other then that and the more realistic water physics I hope they will show more in the future.
