Cave Story on GBA?

Ten years ago my brother and I found out about Cave Story, and played the shit out of it. Two years later we found out about a GBA project. Although we stopped following the project in January of 2007 because we got a Wii. Fast forward too today, and I have an Android with John GBA, and wanna play it. Where can I find the full game?

 

You can't; the GBA ports were abandoned in favor of the DS ports, which were abandoned in favor of the DSi port. If you'd like, the early GBA tech demos are on the tribute site.

 

Damn it! Oh well, I'll just get a 3DS then. :/

 

You can get it on a hacked PSP, or the GP2X, GP2X Wiz, or even Caanoo or Pandora via Ginge.

As for commercial releases there's the DSi and 3DS eShop ports, as well as Cave Story 3D which is also on the 3DS but differs from the original in a number of ways. So there is plenty of choice in that regard. Keep in mind though that if you live outside of the US or Japan I cannot guarantee that the 3DS eShop or DSi ports are available.

 

Also, isn't cave story's NXEngine available through retro arch to play on android?

 

yeah, that and IOS.

 

Alternatively on Android, you can download a PSP emulator and play the real PSP port, which I prefer over NXEngine.
