Cave Story - No cutscenes

Hello, this is my first post in quite a while, and even though I'm a (slight) veteran member, I'm still quite the noob at modding... SO, I need something decided for me:

Should this mod have ABSOLUTELY no cutscenes?
OR
Should this mod have only the TRANSMISSIONS cut out?
(As if Quote didn't have a transmitter built in.)

If you're going to make it be without cutscenes, then if I were you, I'd take out ALL of the cutscenes.

 

Alright, I'll need a few more opinions though, because there's always time to rename.

I had started on Cave Story - Hard Mode on the Mirai Gamer site. Then you guys suggested a mod with no cutscenes and now I'm finally doing it.

No to sound sour, but CS without a plot is a terrible idea. It'd be like... Minecraft.

 

Well, you don't have to play my mod anyway, it's just for the sake of quicker gameplay, for the people who are tired of sitting through cutscenes and doing nothing when they could be moving Quote around and shooting things.

And Cave Story compared to Minecraft? I don't think so...

I started, but I never followed through for some reason. I did make some progress, but not enough for any kind of release
If josh wants to do it sure why not, otherwise I might just go back and finish that - I'm finally near a game-hacking mindset again.
Original thread in the development board appears to have poofed when it was wiped or cleanup or something.

 

I mean... this mod is fairly simple. Just gut the .tsc scripts and remove everything which doesn't set crucial flags. *Sigh* I could help you with this if you're having trouble.

I am working on it, I just need some advice as to what people would like to be taken out of the scripts. I'm not completely sure what is and what isn't a cutscene. I was guessing everything that happens that ISN'T directly related to where quote is and what he is doing at the points in which he is on the screen.
