[14/06/08] Added Soundtracks from Guxt, Azarashi, Glasses and Ikachan as part 8 as well as adding more remixes to part 7.
[31/05/08] Added two remixes plus the sample tracks from Oide yo Doukutsu no Monogatari.
[12/05/08] Separated spanned zip file into individual zip files for easier uploading.
[16/04/08] Added Markarian's new piano cover as an excuse to reupload the zip which is now in .rar format.
[06/02/08] Added more remixes and XXXX along with finally fixing the name for "Fortress of the Sky" fixes to some soundtrack mp3's and minor ID3 tag fixes.
[06/12/07] Gave names to all BETA tracks apart from 42 and added the ones from SP's soundtrack list converted to mp3. Added 5 remixes.
[01/12/07] First release.
I am adding more music and fixing up ID3 tags as I go. If you want me to create a mirror for the download with another download service or report broken links then please do so.

Also if anyone can translate the names for the beta tracks or any other track in Japanese that would be great.

i just wanted to ask, where did you got the beta tracks??

i would help if i could understand japanese, but i can´t and this is a problem.

i only know one and i call it meltdown 1 because it sounds like meltdown 2 but not as good as it, sorry that i can´t give the japanese name (my windows shows me strange letters and so)

edit: there is a second meltdown 1 in beta tracks so this is going to be a meltdown 1.5, or so?

45, 47-54 I have figured out, thanks. I guess I forgot to take another look after my googlish had improved.

42-44, 46, 55 stiil need translations and I need to double check these by listening to them later, just to be sure that they are correct.

55. つき could be short for つきのうた (Moonsong) maybe? Google normally translates Moonsong as "With no Uta", but this was translated as "With".

 

Meltdown 2 for example is wrong, it's not Meltdown Beta, its Meltdown 1.

You may have missed that there was a Meltdown 1 and a Meltdown Beta as well.

EDIT:Why are there two copies of the same song? Cave Story and Plantation are both the same song, and in this case happen to be the same beta. Why is "Game Over" called "Hero's End" when there is already a "Hero's End" track and both tracks are different to eack other?

The translation is correct how it is Sorry, but you're wrong, you can't presuppose, that the beta equals the final game. Cave Story (Which is actually Curly's theme) and Plantation are different songs but they are kinda simluar especially at the end of the plantation song you notice it. The other one is a error caused by me, I guess.

I assumed that they were the same song, I'll listen more closely from now on. Thinking about it I made the same mistake you did, I feel like such a hypocrite now. I should have compared the two songs, sorry.

Anyway I am adding new mp3's for the BETA's I didn't have and adding names to the ones I do but I am still in need of a translation for mp3 track 42 which is the only one left untranslated (thankyou sp!).

So, I guess the title should be something like, "Birds of the Wind"? It's probably a bit off, though.

Fortress, I think. It makes sense; the island is a fortress, made to hold Ballos, and it does float in the air (another possible translation for "kaze" is air).

Now the one that's really confusing me is number 46, which literally translates as "inhabitants of the veins of a leaf."

But the island's only purpose was as a prison, the demon crown came into the scene much later when misery's plan to steal Ballos' power for herself backfired.

But yeah, "Fortress of the Sky" sounds good, I'll use that.
