Jackalope listen up, obviously sitting on your ass hasn't helped your art skills much, so here are some pointers

1. Learn perspective. Balrog looks dumb in this.

2. "Watercolor" does not mean "let the paint run outside the lines".

3. Look at real things before you try to draw them. Quote's gun looks like a water pistol or something and every person you draw looks like they have a balloon for a head, and some other problems I won't bother to point out. Also, look at anatomy tutorials

Okay, here's my respect:

LEARN TO DRAW

Specifically learn that the chin juts out ahead of the forehead, that the middle of the chin lies UNDER THE NOSE and not TWO INCHES TO THE SIDE, and that peoples' eyelids curve around the eye, even with anime eyes. Also EYES ARE NOT VISIBLE THROUGH THICK HAIR. This doesn't even look good when the artist is otherwise decent because HAIR DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY.

The gun isn't bad in and on itself, it's just that it doesn't resemble anything from the game, or rather it does kinda resemble Polar Star.

I respect that, however, putting them where they don't belong is bad (especially on my Curly!).

Yes sir. I will learn there's no pride in drawing without references if everything looks wonky.

At last somebody remembered the Blue Robots. Well, your picture is nothing exceptional, but I like your style. Also, welcome to teh forumz.

 

I made that in five minutes in Flash with a laptop trackpad. I forgot to do the shading. I guess was aiming for below-exceptional.

Well, I had to make some art too.

I would personally recommend the use of a more natural colour rather than a bright colour for the blue, but maybe that adds to the cartoonish style.
