Just for the sake of curiosity are you able to make normal CS scale art as well, despite the limitations?

 

It's a challenge, but yeah. I just prefer working at a lil' bit of a larger size.

Very nice walking cycle, also the Demon Crown as an inventory item could make an interesting mod.

 

i realized that the nicalis sprites can't be used if you want to make a 2x resolution cave story mod, because of copyright and so on

My avatar is fanart I got of an old character of mine. Margerie, her name was. Between you and me I've always had trouble with large-scale pixels.

 

Couldn't make head or tail of (how to draw) the dragon. Get it? Ha ha. Sorry.

Whoa, that's a really nice piece! The detail in Quote and Kazuma is really impressive, and the night sky looks amazing. I also really like how you've adapted the blocks, especially those flower blocks with the aging cracks. I'm also really impressed with how well you did the moonlight reflecting off of Quote and Kazuma, as well as the platform they're standing on.

How long did it take you to make this?

 

Thank you! It took a fair bit of effort - about 16 hours, spread out over a week or two. The only reason I could stay focused was that it gave me an excuse to not do more important things like studying
