Cave Story+ Crashes upon start

First of all... Hello! now...
I try to launch the game but it just crashes but this error file appears out of nowhere and i don't know what to do

are you sure you're playing cave story + and not just regular cave story

 

The error messages basicly mean that the mentioned files are missing iirc, might wanna doublecheck if they're there.

i've checked and most of them are there if not all but most of the images are there i also tried to put the game in Compatibility mode with win XP (Both service packs) im on Win 10 if you're wondering

 

Are you trying to play vanilla with CS+ graphics? Because if so, the files are in .bmp format and not .pbm format, which is what vanilla normally reads.

We need some more info. What exactly are you trying to do? This doesn't seem to really be Cave Story+

Just trying to launch Cave Story + but looks like i can't for some reason ill check a bit more

i downloaded ILLEGALLY *cough* anyway i just downloaded it again from other scourse and checked the files propreties on the "corrupted" files and all of those are .bmp

That explains it. That is no CaveStory+. That is a broken version of the Freeware.
