well, it plays midis mostly, but it can play wma's, ogg's, and module formats too.

the thing with wma's, they're too big. it needs to be a smaller file for the person
who plays the game to be able to get it to load quick enough.

although I would love to have the original music in the game =).

Trackers... yeah, that is probably the best way to do this. Extremely small filesize and near-identical sound.

Well, .xm tracker files (assuming it plays those) can be pretty darn small. To boot, making chiptunes in them is easy. The only problem would be finding them. MIDI is a decent alternative though. ;)

yeah, it plays those. and about pulse.it, didn't you already make a pulse midi made?
I'll probably just use the pulse midi. I'll need more of the songs that I don't have, like
Balrog's theme and others.

If you're a bit daring, you could grab a tracker of some kind, open up an .org with Pixel's program, and copy it note by note. That would get you every song in the game. But it'd also be painstaking and slow. ;)

It's a tradeoff between either looking for them for a few hours, or copying them down for a few hours less but with more effort involved.

don't think I'm that daring ;)

anyway, I won't be able to work on it for a little while, the computer died
on us and we had to back up everything on my brother's external harddrive,
so we have to put it on this new computer.

I really hope he got everything =)

;) :) not like you guys got to play it yet anyway =o

I hope not =p cause I haven't given it to anyone but Abu :D

Out of curiousity, who's Abu? Seriously, that's a name I've never heard and it sounds like someone everyone here knows from the way you're talking about him (or her... nobody really knows on the internet ;) )

Well that's what I exactly did! Well but I added some extra things like sound effects who are in the orgs...

Abu, the one who made the trainer for Cavestory with the trainer kit program
thing. he's one of my best net-friends ^^.

haven't been on cuz I've just started junior high/middle school. =/) sorry bout that.

I'll post again when I can work on CS again.

also, I've come up with a good solution to flying in CS Byond, just rigging
it that if the ridingbalrog variable equals 1, then don't change the inair var
to equal 1, so then you should be able to continue to keep jumping over and over like your flying. I also came up with an easy solution to pain and being
able to lose more than just 1 hp. Just make the losing hp into a process and
call it whenever you bump into an enemy or hopefully if an enemy bumps into
you. *Hurray* or should I say, Huzzah! =D

Guesh what guys? =o. I got pain to work properly! ;) doesn't that make you guys
so happy? >E3 lol

Yep! ^^ I'm back in business~ the hardrive is dead in itself but we got it to work a little but will die if I work on anything on it, so I backed up my CSB stuff onto a cd
so my bro won't have to get all the backed up stuff on the computer, I can just work
on CSB over here at grandma's. (which I'm staying here anyhow since I need grandma
to take me to school over here instead of the school I would be going to if it weren't
for us making a grand agreement < 3)

So shall I say, Huzzah? <3

Gonna make a title screen sometime soon too. =) or atleast try.

This wouldn't even make a good zombie, you'd need to blast the fossil with radiation and just hope it ignited a spontaneous self-sustaining reaction.
