Cave Story - ABRIDGED

I would like to audition for this, but I have a few questions first, although some of them I have because I have no idea what auditioning is like. First, when we audition, will we need to do the parts for the characters, or can we just do something random, like the intro to Symphony of the Night, or almost every line from the first stage of Star Fox 64?(I've played both of those so many times I've memorized them) Second, if you're going to do a playthrough of the game, do you plan to do a text mod to go with it? I could try to do that, although pretty much anyone could, since all that needs to be altered is text, which doesn't require much TSC. Finally, if I audition for anyone, I want to try either Sue, since I find her dialougue fun to read, or some villain, since I'm pretty good with villain dialogue.

Auditions will require you to speak for the character your auditioning for.

Since this will be a playthrough, will you be talking to all the NPCs, or just the important ones like Jenka and King? There aren't many NPCs in the game besides in the plantation, but you might have to go out of your way to meet some. Of course, since Quote is meant to be an idiot, he'll probably go out of his way a few times.

He might skip over a few small ones that no one wants to voice (ex: the robot at the start of Egg Corridor) but he should be talking to mostly everyone.

I think a lot of people are misinterpreting this as a mod. From what i've gathered it's just a let's play of cave story with voice actors attached. Which seems pretty dumb in my opinion but w/e

Yes, theres dialogue changes, but as of now we have no plans of changing this in-game.

 

Well if you send the script to me, I can try to make it into a simple text mod. Of course, pretty much anyone can do this.

 

Cave Story ABRIDGED should be an animated short series, cause it would kinda get boring if the viewer had to watch quote do his numerous fetch quests and if we animated it, we could add in funny scenarios not in the game.

 

I do agree that it should be but I highly doubt they'll change it.

 

I might see about Balrog. Might be hard to audition because of the time I get, so I can try on the weekend.
