Boss Battle Strategies

I posted the way I fight Ballos in the "which is the hardest boss" thread.

It's nowhere near as fast, but it takes a lot less damage. IIRC I beat him from 40 health or so without using the exploit on the last form and without the potion (don't think I used any missiles either).

I was struggling for what to call it. It bypasses that entire stage.

Sure, it's legitimate.That doesn't mean it was the intended way.

I prefer 0 damage to somewhere between 3 and 20.

Especially as I'm now doing a 3 HP run.

Because I'm not particularly a braggart.

But yeah, I'm currently dying to the Doctor and Undead Core.

It's annoying that you have to take out Misery before Sue in that fight (because otherwise Misery launches homing missiles).

Spur, Super Missiles, Fireball, Bubbler, Nemesis.

I'm kicking myself for that last one.

 

Guys, look up "Hell Speed Run" on YouTube to see how to really take on Hell and beat the crap out of Ballos. This guy does it in 2 minutes and thirty something seconds. Don't know if anyone's done it faster, but it's still pretty cool. Don't have the link for it sadly.

Yeah thats where I got my strategies from. Fast usually equals less damage. (not the case for navigating through Sacred Grounds level though)
