Bombchu has a scam up his sleeve!

As you can see here, if you look you will see me politley asking for a custom boss npc, and he rejected it and said anybody could get an NPC.
HE SAID EVERYBODY GOT ONE
BUT I DIDNT!
So as you can see there is a scam up his sleeve!

And you don't need to throw a fit over it, I'm not hating on you, it's that your asking waaaaaaaaaaaay to much from me, especially when I have this extra project I need done by the end of the month.


Just please stop making a fool out of yourself.

I wouldn't have done your request. Have fun getting 5 minutes into your mod and giving up like so many hundreds before you have though.

Really, you're just asking him to basically make your mod for you.
And to be frank, I don't blame him in the slightest for not wanting to put that much dedication into something that you'll end up taking the credit for anyway.
The manor and tone in which you request to Bombchu just reflects arrogance, as if you can guarantee that your mod will be good, even without providing any sort of details regarding your mod in the slightest.
Bombchu has his own work to deal with, and for him to use up his time to work on something that's not even his...well that's just ludicrous.
Despite this coming from someone who freely employs less than a dozen people, you can't just request someone's help for something where they clearly get the short end of the deal, and get angry when they reject your offer.
Also, a scam is defined as

"a confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; swindle."

For one, he's not profiting off this, at least from what I'm aware of, and he's evidently fulfilled requests which follow his criteria.

Your request however, is just too much for a simple request, considering how much ASM and time it requires.
It just can't be done in a day.
Bombchu has other things he needs to do (hopefully) and creating custom boss code takes an excruciating amount of time.

 

Sorry to break it to you, but I and a great deal of other users would have rejected your request as well. I'm not saying Bombchu couldn't have been more polite about it, because I do believe that he was being a bit unnecessarily hostile all of the sudden. But if someone turns down a request to do work for you for free, then you don't have much room to complain. When you join this community, people generally aren't going to help you make a mod until you show them that you have some skill and that you're worth their time. I'm sorry that you're getting singled out like this, but that's the way this community works. Until you produce some tangible content on your own, I'm afraid that nobody's going to give you any major hand-outs, and everyone will continue to see you as just another user who's going to quickly abandon his idea.

There needs to be a written rule against asking people to contribute to your mod without first getting past the ideas stage and producing something.

Also what is it with this irritatingly misplaced sense of entitlement on the net these days? Bombchu isn't your bitch. He doesn't have to do anything you tell him to do. Generousity only goes so far when you ask him to do more work then everyone else combined for a mod you may never get off the ground. When someone offers help with your homework you don't dump the whole damn thing in their lap and run off.

 

That didn't end well for Quote. But, to be honest, I wouldn't help him anyway. It's basically the same thing I have with Majk: I do all the hacking, the music is from my old archives, I do some sprites, I give ideas - basically only maps, the main idea and most of the sprites are his. It is not a good way to make a mod.

Even if it's not meant to be overly serious, this type of impulsive meta-discussion isn't acceptable and I think some kind of precedent should be set (or at least reminded of) here. I'm giving Quote 2.0 a time out for five days.

Why close it when you can just let it die down on its own?
