i just figure it out that igor in balcony is mahin
a friend asked me where did mahin go after lefting the jail
and i was like why the doctor want such a mimiga
so he just made mahin an igor shape of ravil
note : if you use cheats to touch igor before he talk to sue you will get 2 hp contact damage

 

this is a good theory. ive always preferred the theory that the 4 frenzied mimiga on the balcony are the colons, tho

 

Mahin can still be seen in jail if you backtrack from the last cave, so sorry, theory debunked.

dan is the driving force in contemporary cave story theorizing and while their theories may not always account for all the details, there is no reason not to treat them as earnest attempts to better understand the game. find joy in your heart

 

The Igor-looking ravil on The Balcony is certainly without a doubt Kanpachi, who also doesn't disappear from The Plantation (explanation: there are two Kanpachi's).

Could also be Zett too. Wouldn't count out the possibility of two Zetts.

Hmm, not sure if it's Kanpachi. While there are indeed 2 Kanpachi's, if Kanpachi ate a red flower, he would surely be carrying a comically oversized fishing rod.

 

I always figured the Doctor just found Igor sometime after you beat him and juiced him back up and sent him to the Balcony, seems a bit like the obvious take but based on this thread maybe not

Having it that way does serve as a nice indicator of how much stronger you are comparatively by the end of the game

 

I kinda touched on this in the "What is Jack's Fate?" thread, but I guess it may make sense to talk about that again here.

It surprises me how many people are convinced that the enraged Mimiga on the balcony is Igor. I've always felt the simpler explanation is that Igor died, and that Pixel was just re-using his boss sprite for that enemy. When you fight Toroko and damage her enough for her to revert back to her innocent state, she dies pretty soon afterward. I'm not sure why Igor would survive the same experience when Toroko didn't. The one counter-argument from the other side that I can think of is that he doesn't promptly vanish into thin air like King/Toroko/Booster when they die, but that's still a stretch. If you go into a different room, and come back out, Igor is gone. Most likely this means that he vanished in much the same way most non-robot characters do when they die. Otherwise, you'd have to assume that he got up and walked away while you were gone (unlikely), or someone snatched him up in that brief period of time. Or if you want to get even wilder, you'd have to assume that Igor somehow came back from the dead.

3: last one: the game that has jack as Easter egg (surely ) gust , in 2007, so it's clues that jack is the one who driving the jet
