Sakurai has so much free reign over the series, it's getting all a bit worrying.

Well you know, that might have something to do with him being the director and creator of the series.

Nobody in their right mind would like a mechanic where you suddenly sit in place for a few seconds. Brawl itself is already strictly oriented for the casual-playing crowd to begin with, but that mechanic is just ridiculous and irritating to all.

...Anyways, there's also customizable special movesets which look really interesting. They are prob minor stuff like mario's cape creating sparks instead but it still means every character can be altered to some degree with new moves.
Some characters having their final smashes renewed sounds super cool, too.

 

I still find it odd that Sakurai kept Olimar's final smash the way it was (minus some damage and aesthetic difference), even after he added an item that functions exactly the same way.

 

I'm pretty exited for the Wii U version, even though I don't have a Wii U. So. yeah.

 

I don't have a 3DS or a Wii U, but I do think that the new Smash game looks pretty good.
