I love the music of Cave Story 3D and would totally buy the soundtrack if they released one. At the moment I'm getting by with one that I recorded but because NICALiS decided to have background noise (like wind and stuff) I can't get a perfectly clean recordings even with direct audio.

Does anyone know if there will be an official soundtrack anytime soon?

Nicalis has not announced any plans for one, and didn't make one for Cave StoWii either. You'll probably have to wait for someone to rip the audio.
BUT YOU SHOULDN'T LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE THAT IS ILLEGAL AND WRONG. Seriously, you're not allowed to post it on these forums.

I hope they do release and OST without said ambience. I wouldn't mind paying for it either.

If they were to release an official CS3D soundtrack, I think that it would be most likely be available for download in Danny B's Bandcamp.
