I'm planning a series much like Jacob's Cave Story: The Multiple Run, except we won't be doing Cave Story. Durr. My first idea was to do Pokemon R/B/Y/G, because everyone likes Pokemon, but then I remembered how awkward it is to listen to someone play a game and just talk to them. And THEN I remembered Xfire Broadcasting. Xfire doesn't support any GBC emulators, so I had to find a game that I own that would suit my purposes and ALSO is supported by Xfire. I came up with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
So here's my dilemma: do I use Pokemon, which everyone knows and loves, but they have to just sit and imagnie what I'm doing, or do I use Oblivion, which some of the crusty old gamers in here will despise because it's usin' that newfangled technology, but I can stream video live from my computer? It makes little difference to me which one I play. I love them both and I'll be able to play them both, so it's a win-win. But you guys are just as much a part of this as I am, so I want to you to decide: Pokemon or Oblivion?
After we get that out of the way you guys just tell me when you're available and we will some sweet RPG action going.

Pokemon.
Not everyone has the Power to run Oblivion.
Also: http://www.vbalink.info/
Online play.

so you could fight people in a 1v1 battle or something.

Your Pokemon idea is cool, but it would only last one or two episodes, until everyone fights everyone else. We could have a Pokemon tournament, but you'd need your own Pokemon and you'd have to level them up and everyone would need Visual Boy Advance.
You don't need the power to run Oblivion, you need the power to run a live video feed and Skype at the same time. I hope you can handle that.

OKAY FUCK YOU DO NOT NEED TO PLAY OBLIVION. YOU WILL WATCH A LIVE VIDEO OF ME PLAYING OBLIVION. CAN YOU WATCH LIVE VIDEO? I HOPE SO. IT'S A LOT LIKE REGULAR VIDEO, ONLY LIVE. YOU DO NOT NEED TO WORRY ABOUT OBLIVION'S SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS. I COULD BE RUNNING SKYNET AND IT WOULDN'T MATTER TO YOU. IT'S A FUCKING VIDEO, NOT A VIDEO GAME.

It's interactive because you can see what I'm doing, as opposed to me simply narrating it.

So, like, we ALL narrate what YOU're doing?
That actually sounds like something I could do and be helpful with.

Cap', can you do that thing you can do with Oblivion with Morrowind or Gothic 1 or 2?

I don't own Gothic 1, 2, or a legal, stable version of Morrowind (my brother has the Morrowind CD and I had a burning desire...). So Oblivion or Pokemon. The first generation of Pokemon, by the way.
Just a heads up, I have a few mods installed for Oblivion. Nothing major, but if I accidentally summon a dragon or buy lingerie, you'll know why.
Also, Jacob, I look forward to co-hosting with you, you lonely furry child-fucker.

So Schokobecher, T-Jack and Jacob all want to participate. T-Jack seems to be leaning towards Pokemon, and Jacob says "Pokemon is gay". I don't know if that a compliment. Schokobecher's like "how do i watched videos?" so I guess the ultimate decision is still up to me, and I guess it's whichever is easiest for me to do.

I've never played Pokemon past the second gym, which is why I wanted to do it. It would be more interesting if I didn't know what lie ahead. But there are also plenty of ways to throw me into uncertainty in Oblivion.

Ultimately, I don't care which game you play, but if we're voting, I say Pokemon.

Pros and cons of Oblivion vs. Pokemon:
Oblivion pros:
-Epic
-Pretty
-Live video feed
-I know what I'm doing
Oblivion Cons:
-Might be too automatic for me, I play it a lot
-Streaming live video, recording video and running Oblivion might be too much for my computer to handle
-Schokobecher's computer can't run Oblivion
Pokemon Pros:
-Classic
-Familiar
-New and exciting for me
-My computer can definitely handle it
-Gay
Pokemon Cons:
-Is old and already done
-Less pretty
-No live feed; you will have to use your imaginations
-Gay

I did not know about that. That is why.
By the time I am ready to do this (at least Tuesday, perhaps later :() I will have decided which game I will use. I really can't do it any sooner than Tuesday, as much as I'd like to, so just sit tight (Jacob you can sit as tight as you want I'll still get through).

EDIT: That totally sucked. I'm gonna make it better next time, and hopefully all of my software will work the way I want it to.
