I made a little something today that I thought I'd share. I'm not going to be able to work on it for a few days so...

It's not finished, and I'll probably end up scrapping most of it, but hey! I thought it might be worth a listen :D

It's not a remix really since all I've done is taken a midi (thank you Sam Wolff!) and chosen various instruments, effects, and other weirdness and applied it. Eventually, I'll try rewriting it; but right now I'm just trying to make a new version of the original.

This one doesn't have the right feeling or anything, and I kind of just added the piano ... but oh well, enough talk!

Everything sounds good accept from the firs main lead which kicks in around 19secs, Just sounds out of tune =/
The Piano sounds pretty nice :')

Have you tried using a DAW? Like FL Studio?
You can use the same principle of changing instruments in a midi file to actual synths and real piano samples and stuff.. I dunno how experienced you are but if you want to get into that sort of thing you should definitely check FLStudio out :')

It's pretty common that people use this specific song for their remixes.
Other than that, this remix is alright.

Thanks JetHawk, JiNXeD it's not a remix yet!

I also get the feeling it wasn't quite right either (out of tune or something); but was curious to see what others would think of it so far...

I'm not very experienced with music; I played around a little last year :

Mixes unrelated to Cave Story, as a tribute to another game called The Way, that I did last year, from oldest to newest (probably won't mean much to you if you haven't played the game/know the song) :





















In doing those I've figured out some basics... But, I've yet to try to write my own music from scratch, or remix something into something completely different.
I'm using an old Cubase like program, it works pretty good on this old PC...

Anyway, I'll probably keep working on this song or another CS song for now :D

@JiNXeD - It was my favorite song in Cave Story when I first played through :D
