A fantastic way to get The best view\Resolution for the game.

I have played the game many times in different timings for 1.5 year. I first play with the full screen till I finished it. The graphics was ..umm ... not that good but I liked the game.
Then I decide to play it again but this time between the "320x240 Windowed" and "640x480 Windowed". The first one makes the graphics more detailed to me and charming but I find that the window is way too small which makes everything in the game so small that you have to focus in tiring way. In the other hand, the second one was a little bigger than what I want to be ..... So, what is the best one?

Here what I did: I seleced the "320x240 Windowed" then I opened Doukutsu.exe's properties > Compatibilty > Display settings and then checked "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution".

Fantastic, now the game resolution and the size of the window makes the graphics so charming with a good volume of the objects and the characters etc in the game so you can see everything in the game with peace of mind without a stessing focusing.

*Sorry or my bad english.

The game's graphics are designed for 320x240. However, they can be stretched to 640x480 by being scaled 2x. Technically one could easily hack in a 1280x960 mode but the graphics would be rather stretched and pixelated.

It's entirely a matter of preferences. Games generally look best in 640x480 (my screen has a slightly scanline-like effect to it in 640x480) but there aren't any differences between the two modes. Just the fact one of them is scaled. Some may like it more that way. ;)

the difference is that you have a decent window size, but the text keeps the same resolytion as the graphics, so it doesn't look sub-pixeled.

I've played enough old ROMs to like the pixellated look of doublesized sprites. ;)

I like doublepixeled sprites as well, but when the text and other certain parts of a game are at your monitor's resolution instead of the game's resolution it messes with the mind.

Huh? I've never had a problem with the text appearing too small or too big to match the screen...
