A Cave Story Moment: A Grim Ascent

It was planned as a one-off deal, honestly, a twisted look into the moment the game clicked for me, revealed its dark heart in full.

I have a feeling that were there to be more, the fundamental joke - that this cutesy platformer is a disguise for a gritty sci-fi epic with an android's existential angst center stage - might get old without a lot of creative re-imagining.

...Unless people really want me to try it. >.>;

I think it is best as a one-off. Though, despite saying that, I would love to see another Cave Story fanfic from you.

Say, the thing was nice. Yet.... I dunno, I couldn't really comprehend most of it, probably for some petty problems. Like, maybe it's harder to read a negative-coloured font than a positive one, and maybe because of the italic. But yea, good job. My first time reading a CS fanfic anyway.

 

Oh, as for accuracy, I haven't noticed anything, so you're fine.
