I would perfer PSO to PSU. They added cool things to PSU, but at the same time they took away/changed a lot of things that made PSO great.

I used the fireball a lot to take out enemies safely over walls and stuff on my 3HP runs. It's not a bad weapon, but the machine gun does the same amount of damage much faster.

It depends on what you define as "cheating" I personally don't think not having a Turbo button would've made his time that much worse, he would still follow the same basic strategies for getting that whomg time. In other words, it didn't make a huge difference.
