So I've been practicing on the 3DS eShop version, but I've been holding off on beating the level and getting a new record simply because I'm not sure if you guys accept potato-quality recording. So can camera-in-front-of-system recording be considered valid proof, or do I need a capture card?

I do wish Pixel hadn't put in a Point of No Return like that, but at least there's only one, and it's at the near end of the game. I may not need to backtrack, but others may want to grab a Life Capsule or two that they missed.

It always kinda bugs me when people refer to Cave Story as an 8-bit game, even though an 8-bit system would NOT be able to handle Cave Story's content. Ballos, the Core, Monster X, and Puu Black are just some things an 8-bit system would have a nearly impossible (if not impossible) time...

Cave Story 3D isn't worth anyone's time, honestly. I used to own a copy, I sold it along with my first 3DS before I knew they were rare, but I don't really regret it. Cave Story 3D is a mess, and if you are an experienced gamer you will find serveral glitches in it by yourself.

I'm a bit conflicted on a sequel to a game that had a nice ending with no plotholes in sight. Cave Story was fun, but... was anyone really screaming for Cave Story 2? What I'm looking forward to is a prequel about the events before Cave Story, when Quote and Curly battled against Miakid(o).

I typically use the Original soundtrack in Story Mode, and the Plus soundtrack for Curly Story, but my favorite is Original. The Plus soundtrack just feels so empty IMO. 3D uses way too much of the same instrument, although I guess you could say that for the others.
