Wow, just finished playing Torus Trooper and let me tell you, it gets nuts fast. It feels like F-Zero in terms of speed and one ridiculously crazy shooter. You have no lives, instead if you get hit, you slow down and lose 15 seconds. Seriously, play it. You'll love it.
