I think when you download the game there is no profile.dat. It doesn't appear until you actually save your game. But unless you got through the game without ever saving, that couldn't be the problem...

You're right, Ironhead would not mix with anything. I don't think it would be possible to combine all the bosses in a single level without a whole lot of work. It's probably not worthwhile.

Um... how so? Hacking does not need to involve assembly. Editing your save file is hacking, for example. Okay, I could allow that using a game-save editor to do it may not be hacking, but editing your saved game with a hex editor is certainly hacking.
