As far as time goes, to my knowledge Steam CS hasn't yet entered beta.

Pfft, the precursor to the floppy was an even BIGGER floppy! Since CS scaling is not exact, you could actually be walking up to this behemoth to save. It is as big as our protagonist after all.

If that case were to happen to such an extent you needed to ASM hack your own game, it was time to leave the company months ago.

The industry, in general, will not require you to code in assembly :)

Nah, they were the successor. Floppys were out of favor so they never gained steam over CD ROM. You might be thinking 5" floppies. Those went out in the early 1990s.

Keep in mind my roommates (younger than me) are 19, and they probably couldn't tell you how to plug in a mouse let alone what a floppy is for. Now if you can tell me what ZIP is without hitting up google, that'd be impressive :greydroll: Or not, since deprecated/discontinued pc parts aren't...

It's ok, Assembly is NOT for everyone. Can't stress that enough. You have to be above and beyond object oriented languages (C++ Java etc) to write straight code, must have a very sound and logical processing mind, and all that goes with it. I can grasp some written languages but writing straight...

It might be ubiquitous with PC users for the last 20 years, but DS users can be from 8-13 years old, long after the floppy's fall from use. It is smashed into our heads the same way red barrels = explosion: floppy = save/download. Those same kids might not know of it as a real storage medium...
