It could also be a problem with the resolution change, since Cave Story temporarily forces the computer's resolution to 640x480 while it is active and in fullscreen mode. I don't think many fullscreen games these days force a resolution change, so you may need to look that up as well.

Is a.dll maybe 64-bit instead of 32-bit? What about the other dlls?

It is probably possible to run the Linux DRM-free port of CS+ on an emulated Linux environment through it would be unplayable on the 3DS (in terms of speed and resolution). And if you have the Steam version instead then you don't even have that option. The dedicated eShop port is your best bet...

No. It isn't possible, for both legal and technical reasons. However if you can specify what platform you are trying to run CS+ on then maybe we can help you get CS+ working regardless (though it depends on the platform).

Actually I do have the original wii version midis and a soundfont for those. Effectively there was a pre-release version of the wiiware port, and that version used midis instead of .ogg files, and those midis had a soundfont. Of course they sound absolutely nothing like the post-release...
