Proof it's not a ripoff: Look at Bricks death sequence for the robots. Looks nothing like S.P's. I think someone's just jealous that Brick's look better.

I have the rom but I never got around to playing it yet. The idea of the world map being based on earth is very appealing to me I have to play this soon.

I don't think hell itself is terribly hard. If you had to do only one of them to win then they'd both be pretty easy. It's Ballos and Hell combined that makes it hard. That looks all right to me..Maybe you should try reinstalling Cave Story then putting the 7 weapon profile in.
