Well, I'm not sure how Curly got there, but the narration I think can be seen as Quote's memories slowly returning.

No, that just partitions your hard drive so you can install Windows normally. (And it only works on an Intel Mac – which I do have – plus it requires that you buy a copy of Windows.)

If you were going to do this, then I think Misery and Balrog in the bubbles should only appear after the crown has been claimed by the Doctor. Yes, I'd definitely say that you shouldn't worry too much about duration when you're writing the script, since parts can always be cut later.
