• Please stop embedding files/images from Discord. Discord has anti-hotlinking logic in place that breaks links to Discord hosted files and images when linked to from anywhere outside of Discord. There are a multitude of file/image hosting sites you can use instead.

    if you modify something in each of the map's mapdata, then save everything, it should clean it

    Well, he may have to be satisfied with the existing drums.
    The only other thing I can suggest is try this version of the hack files I have. It includes the scripts to add the WAV resources, the instruments, and one or more copies of the hex data.

    If that doesn't work then I can't help you.

    The contest is definitely exciting, and a great opportunity for modders everywher. Whether it replaces the Kanpachi or not, it'd be lovely to see it happen every year. ^_^

    I want to store a string of text so that I can use it to load an image file, but I'm not sure how I would go about storing it. All I can see in the compendium are examples of pushing the offset with the text, none of actually storing the text itself.

    a string is just a sequence of characters
    just pick a spot in the exe and put some bytes there, the offset is the first byte and they always end with a zero value.
