I just felt like putting that Critter there. Also, it would be kinda crazy suffering one damage and then dieing before you get the Life Capsule.
Speaking of dieing, I remember the first couple of times I first played Cave Story, I died on a curtain spike in First Cave.
Yeah, you need to change the NPC tileset. Not all entities are visible in the same room. To change it, go to the map editor, click "Map" on the toolbar, select "properties," and change the NPC tileset to the one that fits the enemies you're using.
Which version of Jenka's Nightmare are you playing? The original? The remake by Doors? The recent one by Zarro?
It may. It's part of the unfortunate limitations that come along with CS modding.
Yeah, that version is Zarro's. It's supposed to be good, but dunc always says the original is better, so you also may want to try the one by Shmitz as well.
That video... I felt like I've seen that before. Pretty funny though.
You can make it so that you have two NPC tilesets at once, but you need to go to the NPC table (in the main menu of CE) and change which slot that the entity loads in. For example, if you want Sand Zone and Grasstown enemies in the same area, you should set all of the Sand Zone enemies to slot one and change the Grasstown enemies to slot two. That way, in the map editor, you can set Sand Zone as slot one and Grasstown as slot two.
I'd have to see it in action to truly get a feel for how well-placed it is. The room is cramped and so there isn't much room to fight it, which means it would be difficult to attack and avoid (without the Polar Star on the way in, this probably won't work so well). If a difficult placement is what you're going for, that may not be a bad idea, but especially consider that when someone comes out of the Gunsmith room, the Critter will be *right there*. That is not good. I would probably move it more towards where the player is located on the screenshot, as it'll still be difficult to avoid while going towards the room while being a more fair placement on the way back.
This is, of course, assuming that the events still play out how it normally does in Cave Story (like, retrieving the gun).
Be amazed at my crappy improvement at my Blood Stained Sanctuary Time! *obvious sarcasm*

Heh, I should probably actually try to get a better time. I kinda keep doing it for no apparent reason...
I keep trying Normal Mode, but for some reason I keep dieing when I fight Ballos. I suppose it's something with my mentality because I always pretty much get hurt multiple times, when on Easy Mode I would do it perfectly okay. Like on Easy Mode it's taken me pretty much one try to get to his eye, but in Normal Mode I keep screwing up and it takes me like three times.
You should practice all forms of Ballos, because they are all fairly simple once you've done it enough. Unfortunately there is no way to fight Ballos from the get-go, so it might be good modding practice to start yourself right next to the fight in the PC version.
