• Please stop embedding files/images from Discord. Discord has anti-hotlinking logic in place that breaks links to Discord hosted files and images when linked to from anywhere outside of Discord. There are a multitude of file/image hosting sites you can use instead.

I tried Booster's Lab out, and it's a really cool editor, but for some reason it seems to not work right on my computer.

My computer is a Windows 8 Lenovo (I think. I know that it's Windows 8 though) computer if that helps. I'm not sure if it's my computer or if the editor is not compatible with Windows 8,so yeah. I really want to use it though. 500 HP Critter FTW!
I don't know why, but I can't change the tile set (And there seems to be only one, some parts of First Cave.), and the different characters and enemies look a bit glitched up on my computer (Like a picture of Toroko shows up under the Doctor's name.). I looked at some of the pictures in the thread for it, and it seems like what I'm expiriancing is not suppose to happen.

The recent version of Booster's Lab doesn't work for me either, so I just use Cave Editor. I prefer it over BL anyway. Try that out and tell me if you're experiencing the same problems.

I tried it out, but I can't really do anything. The application seems to load fine, but there is no tile sets or characters or really anything I can place down. Do I need to download some tile sets or something?

It pretty much does the same thing that the newer one does for me: practically every option to do anything is grayed out and I can't click on it. The only things I can click on are Edit*pbm, File (Load and Exit), Data (everything in that tap is grayed out), Option (that seems to work), and Help (which About is the only thing in that tab that isn't grayed out.).
I think that I might be doing something wrong lol.
Also, when I click on load, I can only load the editer itself (lol), which when I try to do that, it pretty much crashes the editer (lol).

Ironically, my mom got me a really good computer, so it can take it. :-) It seems to run a lot a things well, so maybe it's a fault on my end (not the computer's)?

You have to load a copy of Cave Story. You can drag the .exe file into the Cave Editor folder if that makes it easier for you to locate when you're loading it.

I downloaded it twice, one of them I can just play the game, and another I can freely edit, ya know?
It totally works now by the way. Thank you. :-)

Oh yeah, one of the first things I figured out and did, is put two destroyable blocks over the water, and a Critter in the Starting Point.

Also, how do you make screenshots of the game?

To take a screenshot, use the "prt sc (print screen)" button around the top of your keyboard. Then paste that into Paint, or something.

Upload the picture to your gallery or a site (like <a href='http://imgur.com/' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://imgur.com/</a>), copy the link of the picture (make sure the link ends with a picture extension, like .jpg or .png), and then paste that into the
