Hey everyone happy Christmas Eve we're aware of what's happened with the source code so to keep this simple absolutely don't post it on the site or use it to make mods with (it's not particularly preferable toward this end anyway) and tread lightly in general until we see how this settles, thanks to all and have a great holiday season

I have Ollydbg, which translates it into ASM instructions. As to how I know what they mean, it's just something you learn after a while. They're mostly pretty logical, MOV and CMP and ADD and IMUL and stuff like that.
I have a general understanding of what happens and then I read the assembly to figure out specifically what needs to be changed. It's really not that difficult if you know what it says.
Oh. Well I meant for map editing, but yeah, Caveshark is a no-brainer. I've started using Sue's Workshop and so far it's been working best for map editing.
Thanks for asking! When Summer break comes around I'll have more time to do these sorta things, but for now I can just critique what you are working on, I suppose.
1) I don't have Ballos Story
2) 2x Resolution is applied with faerie dust and other enchantments to prevent its use for plain Cave Story.
3) I am aware of how Pixel feels about mods. If I had known this when I began I would not have started.
4) thanks...?
