Also, sorry for the double post but did you ever heared of AGL? AGL was like your engine a clone of Cave Story. It was pretty great since you could mod it. (By editing script and importing images/sounds/music) And it had working netplay. (It was planned that the netplay should be compatible with the mods)

Any chance you add Netplay and Modification support to your engine? :x
I wish I could do it myself but I don't know any C/C++. (Only Assembler and Basic)

Hello, I have some questions for you regarding the engine, before I can help you o:
Did you used some hacking FAQ's to find stuff about Cave Story out?
Because I know how to get the values for some things, which are pretty tricky. (Like waiting time in ticks for weapons)
