Only makes sense (in my head, at least) that Gallade would have claws for light attacks and the blades for heavy attacks. The blades are kind of his whole thing, sure, and they're kind of like tonfas, surer - but I can't really picture relying exclusively on those things in my head, too much awkward placement. (Easier to picture with the width of the Mega's.)
