It took me quite a while to tell that there isn't any rain in this picture. I'm not really sure what sparked this Gardevoir's low mood, but it doesn't make the picture any less cute, to be honest!
And feeling downhearted doesn't make reality any more loathsome. Things get better with time, I promise! c:
