Hello,
I just got Cave Story+ as part of the Humble Indie Bundle #4 but i am unable to play it on my system running Ubuntu 11.04.

when i try to run the game i get this error in terminal

./doukutsu: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.14' not found (required by /home/marcg/Games/CaveStoryx64/lib/libSDL-1.2.so.0)

the latest version of libc6 that is available from package manager is 2.13

can this be resolved in some way or i am stuck not being able to play this interesting looking game.

I believe your problem can be solved by installing the glibc package.
You can do it running the follow line from your terminal:
$sudo aptitude install glibc-2.13-1

Would you like a shovel? Because you're digging yourself a consecutive-post hole.
I was this close to not posting, I wanted to see how many you'd make in a row.

Okay in all seriousness, I'm glad to hear everything worked out for you Linux users, but each of your posts has an edit button for a reason.

He double posted once to say that it worked, that's it.

I don't know, one was a capital G and one was a lower case g, so it wasn't that hard to spot the difference.

I wonder if I should close this since he seems to have solved the issue...
