What is wrong with my music?

Hello, I'm new here, but I was wondering what is wrong with my Cave Story music? My computer was made to have a great sound card, and speakers are excellent... But my CS music is screwed up. Like when I'm in a boss fight... All I hear are certain notes, why is this, and how can I fix it?

 

I'm not sure about this, but i think older sound cards are better for .org files. My newer computer has really lousy sound when i play cs, but not my older one. Hmm...
