Web-radio DJ wants to broadcast Cave Story music

I'm Tate, host of web-radio show Satellite 5 on www.scrubradio.com

I'm a longtime fan of Cave Story and I love the remix "CDs" of Cave Story music.
I want to play some of the tunes on my show but I need to make sure I have permission.
I've been looking on this site for a statement of Pixel's permission to distribute his compositions but haven't found one.

There's also a question of contributing artists' "cover" performances but that's usually less of an issue than compositions.

Scrub Radio does not pay royalties, but I can help bring attention to Cave Story and the Cave Story community.

Can anyone help me with this?

It seems you're a little confused, which is understandable. This is not an official site, so official statements from Pixel shouldn't necessarily be expected to be on the site. To find out what Pixel's stance on this is, I'd suggest you do one of two things.

1. Go to his BBS and ask him there.
2. Email him at the address given at the bottom of his website's navbar.

Be aware that he may not completely understand you, as his English isn't perfect.
