I had a mod idea... it is called Vortex Story and it's kindof a sequel to Cave Story (I know there are a million other mods like this.), and this is the mods/hacks ideas section, so... yeah.
I have some sprites and portrait stuff I made...
Unfortunately I do not know how to put them here..yet.

http://imgur.com/ is a site in which you may upload images to share with others. Just upload your pics and copy the url. You have the option of making an account, which makes it easier to manage your pictures (or at least I assume), but making an account isn't necessary to upload.

If you don't like imgur, there are other image-sharing sites that you can use instead, such as http://photobucket.com. Usually they require you to make an account.

This is Ampersand (ampersand = &)
Him with a weapon I thought up (the diffuser)

Yeah, that's why there is the whole "dark Ampersand" thing.
Shade is the main antagonist for the first part, and then the power he controls (the vortex, hence the name "Vortex Story") takes over, and he becomes a protagonist.. Ampersand is a old robot found by Shade, and he uses the Vortex to control him, and hes a minor boss, when you defeat him he returns to consciousness, and he also becomes a protagonists...

I just made a new picture:
Anyways, I should probably get to the point.
and that is...that I cannot script for my life.
That was the first reason for this thread..
I wanted to see if I could find someone willing to collaborate with me, to make up for my lack of scripting skills...
So yeah... the project (in my mind) would include new weapons, new sprites, new areas, ect.
I've been making music as well, so that is also taken care of.

...anybody?

Hey I can script TSC fairly well (at least I like to think so) I can do that, but for ASM I'm lost. So if your mod is going to be pretty heavily TSC instead of weapon and engine mods, I can help out a lot.

You can always change the weapon sprites to make them look different. And I think im pretty good at image editing, so I could help with some of the sprites.

Yeah, that was kindof what I was thinking...although there was going to be a new weapon, although it would be basicaly the polar star, just a wider shot and slightly more damage...(the diffuser, if you look on the first page)
And that would be great!

I dunno about wider shot, but more damage is easy, I just edit the damage value thingy in Cave Editor.

Well editing the sprite isnt the problem, theres a bounding box (correct me if im doing this wrong nox) that will register a hit on the enemy if they come in contact with it. So a wider shot wouldn't register unless we edited the bounds for the shot object thingy. This is beyond what I know, but im sure noxid would be happy to help you! I think. :debug:
