Trying to make own weapons

I wanna ask if its possible to change weapons for cave story
so that they do more damage or look different
i tried in sues workshop but i didnt find anything


...and sry for my bad english

 

You can make them look different by editing the graphics, but as far as I know there's no way to change damage and shot behaviour and such.

Unless we had an editor based on the source code, which could enable us to do such things and more...

Well, maybe it's hardcoded into the EXE?!?!??

 

and how can i change the hardcode??

 

Well you see it...Just look into the Exe with an Hex Editor...
look at the end of the Exe, thats hardcode...

 

lol and in which row is the thing with the weapons

 

The only way to find out is with trial and error. Noone's found it and shared yet.

If you do find it, you get the honor and distinction of being the first
But always keep a backup of the original when hexediting an exe.

i got another problem now i changed my weapon and charakter picture and now i cant start
what shall i do now?
