Tileset hacking

Does anyone know where the assembly is for the different tile types? Or the assembly that loads the maps/tiles?

I'm just slightly interested in:
-the possibility of animated tiles
-changing/making new tiletypes

Since the tileset types seem to have a bunch of open slots (the unused tiletypes) it wouldn't be that hard to add in new tile types, would it?

So yeah, if anyone knows where the assembly for that starts that would be great.

How do i make a map bigger so i can add much more things? im using Cave Editor.

Open CE, load your doukutsu.exe, and open the map you want to enlarge by double clicking it in the left hand column. The new window that pops up will have a small menu button in the top left. Select "map", and then select "properties" from the dropdown menu that appears. Another new window will appear; in the first segment "general" there will be something like this:
----------- ____________
Map Name:|____________|
--------- _____________________ ----------- ______ -- ______
Caption: |_____________________| Map Size : |_____| x |_____|

Changing the values in Map Size will change the size of the map.

instead of posting questions in random threads, just put it in the questions sticky.

Yes, it adjusts automatically.

Not only will it keep things less cluttered, but you'll get help quicker and more easily than randomly posting in any hack-related thread you happen to see...
That and everyone will be less inclined to explode.

This idea has gone NOWHERE since I don't know where the assembly that renders the map is, or where the assembly that handles the tile types is. If anyone has information regarding this, please post what you know on this thread.

And PLEASE don't derail my threads with basic and miscellaneous modding questions.

eh, sorry gir.
I've been wanting to do this for a while, but haven't had the motivation/skill to do so. the way slopes shoot you up if you bump your hizzle on them shows a lot about how they're coded though.
