I guess it could be seen as somekind of 2d minecraft, with it being alot more combat oriented, with bossfights, 20+ weapons(i think), and gameplay elements being used from different games. Upgrading your characters health and mana, so it has rpg elements too.

i've been following this for the past 2 weeks, and it looks awesome, now get excited as me

 

Oh hey I've heard of this. If it's 2D I might give it a try and actually get hooked

I've been following this game for quite a while now.
In theory, this should be my favourite game ever.

I think it's a bit unfair to refer to it as a 2D Minecraft however. It seems like that's the most common reaction, and it seems to be because Mining and Crafting make up part of the game-play. I think I will enjoy this much more, given it has more focus on the action side of things.

 

It sounds like it has more game (story, bosses, weapons) and less building elements.

Which sounds like a good balance.

 

It looks like the threeway lovechild of Minecraft, Spelunky, and Final Fantasy. Yep, I'm bookmarking this for a rainy day.

This game is better than Minecraft, in my opinion. Very very sexy game. Buy it. Right now. More weapons, bosses, walking with lit torches (UNDERWATER TOO), awesome music, more materials, better PvP Combat, less buggy, More armor, Merchants, Guides, Nurses, Lightsabers, Guns, No Durability, RPG Elements, More Customization, Hamachi Compatible, just amazing, global events, Special items (Such as double jump boots, etc), Heart Containers, spells, costs less, free content updates.. This is sex.

 

This game is like, sex.

 

Let's not make this into a competition. Minecraft and Terraria are different games. The building and crafting seem to play a relatively small role in Terraria. For instance, there's no redstone-like material in Terraria (probably? I'm not sure), and Minecraft doesn't have a very wide range of enemies.
So there's no need to compare the two games all the time, Terraria is very much its own game.

 

Hey Fab, I got Terraria and I saw your post in the Community Minecraft Server thread. I would like so say that if you did make a server, I'd be sure to join it. Single player has gotten a little boring for me .

This is maybe the third time I've heard you complain about your credit card, and really, it isn't that big of an issue.
Possible Solutions:
1) Get one
2) Play on a friend's computer
3) Ask a friend to buy it for you and then pay them back in cash

These are all relatively straightforward solutions that would end up with you playing the game. Just please, stop mentioning over and over that you don't have a credit card. I can't help with that. It's annoying.
